At Chatsie, our mission has always been simple: help older adults stay connected to the people who matter most. Connection is only part of the story though as families don’t just want to speak to their loved ones, they want the quiet reassurance of knowing they’re safe, active, and protected, without feeling intrusive.

That’s why we’re launching Family Dashboard.

It’s more than a new feature. It’s the next step in our vision for a phone that isn’t just easy to use, but actively supportive of the whole family.

The problem we’re solving

If you have an older parent, you’ll know the little questions that can turn into nagging worries:

  • Has Mum been in touch with anyone today?

  • Is Dad’s phone charged, or has it been sitting on the kitchen counter all day?

  • Has Grandma’s routine changed suddenly?

Until now, answering those questions meant phoning them (and possibly causing more worry than reassurance) or just hoping for the best. Family Dashboard changes that.

Peace of mind at a glance

Family Dashboard gives relatives a simple, friendly, and non-intrusive view of their loved one’s Chatsie phone - and by extension, their wellbeing. At a glance, you can see:

1. If the phone’s in use and connected to home Wi-Fi (Home status & device check in)

It’s information designed for reassurance, not surveillance. No tracking where they are minute-by-minute. No reading messages. No crossing lines. Just the kind of insights that make families feel connected and confident, wherever they are.

Why now

When we launched Chatsie, we focused on making the smartphone experience predictable, clear, and human, but our customers have told us they also want a shared experience - one that gives both the user and their family the same sense of comfort.

We also know that in a world of increasing digital scams, shifting routines, and more families living apart, that reassurance matters more than ever. The Family Dashboard is our way of making sure that comfort is built in from day one, without compromising independence or privacy.

The bigger vision

The Family Dashboard is just the beginning. Over time, we’ll expand its capabilities - gentle alerts if the phone hasn’t been used for a while, more ways to celebrate active social connections, and tools that help families support each other across generations.

Our long-term goal is simple: whether you’re the person using a Chatsie phone or the person who loves them, you’ll feel like you’re in the loop, on the same page, and better connected than ever.
